So I recently read about Encyclopedia Britannica is going wikipedia and placing their information online for free. Or at least that is what I thought was going to happen. Now, as I surf the internet, I am finding that EB is showing up more often in search engine results (in this instance I was searching for the teachings of Saint Timothy…the Saint I am named after).
Saint Timothy — Britannica Online Encyclopedia
To my surprise, after clicking on the EB link, they had very little information for me…but plenty of up-sell for me to subscribe for $70/year.
Looks like I will be sticking with wikipedia for awhile yet.
1st year law student busy reading the coming semester's texts. Aspiring politico. Internet businessman. Interested in the socio-cultural aspects of American society, changes that affect the "little guy", use of authority (and abuse of it), Intellectual Property law and Criminal Law. For added flavor, I also play drums in a trip-hop band.
